About
INScribe staffs scribes in multi-specialties across the state of Indiana, such as: ENT, GI, Family Practice, Ophthalmology, Neurology, Cardiology, Hospitalists, ER, ICU, & Surgery with some remote shifts. Scribes are trained over a 3 to 5 week period depending on the specialty through a combination of classroom and clinical sessions. All scribes are trained in varying EMR Systems (Cerner, Epic, IRP Imaging Systems, Electronic T-Sheets, and/or CPSI). Over 75% of our scribes are cross-trained in multiple departments, after meeting a specific set of internal standards.
History
After a group of emergency room physicians had negative experiences with national scribe company's, INScribe was born in 2017. These physicians decided to employ their own scribes themselves in 2015, slowly expanding their services. After two years, they realized that they could produce a higher quality and consistent service in the Indiana market.
Our Scribes
Our scribes our primarily college students. They are pursuing a variety of majors, including Biochemistry, Biology, Brain and Behavioral Sciences, Chemistry, Genetics, Health Sciences, Kinesiology, Medical Lab Sciences, Microbiology, Neuroscience, Nursing, and Psychology. The majority of our scribes have a pre-professional focus to their studies, and attend medical school, nursing school, or physician assistant school after their tenure at INScribe.
